Join us for immersive and hands-on gardening workshops that promises to stimulate all your childrens senses.

WHAT YOUR CHILD WILL LEARN:

  • Where food comes from

  • How to plant, water and care for the garden

  • Soil, composting, and worm farming

  • Animals and insects in the garden


Workshop Brief

The workshops are tailored to engage and stimulate each child with hands on activities in a garden setting.

Goals:
- For each child to learn basic garden skills and knowledge
- Have a fun time playing while learning
- Involve each child and letting them perform activities themselves with the help of an adult.

Materials used:
Soil - Seeds - Pots - Magnifying glasses - Shovels - Worm Farms - Watering Cans - Water Paint - Mud Kitchen

Activities:
Learn about seeds (what kind of seed grows into what fruit, how to sprout seeds, where do seeds come from etc)
Learn about soil (composting, worms, fertility etc)
Learn how to plant (watering, sun requirements etc)
Learn about Birds/Insects/Animals (how can they benefit and potentially be a problem in the garden)


Single session - 1 hour
- In the single sessions we cover the basic activities mentioned above, which will work as a great introduction to Permaculture and gardening.
Cost: $30 per child (Minimum of 15 students)

4 week programme
- In the 4 week programme we dive deeper into each activity (1 per week), giving a greater depth of knowledge for the children. Each session runs for 30 minutes.
Cost: $60 per child (Minimum of 15 students)

Garden set up
- Setting up, or reviving, a garden at the centre and creating a workshop around that (soil, planting, watering, etc)
Cost: flat rate of $500* (including materials + plants)

*the fee includes a garden bed size of up to 4 square meters
